Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities
šEnsure maximum uptime for production trading systems using real time monitoring šProvide expert-level 2 and 3 support for complex technical issues related to our platforms and products, ensuring timely resolution and excellent client satisfaction. šBecome a specialist in trading environment-specific knowledge, and effectively coordinate across teams including IT, Quant Dev, Quant, Infrastructure and other departments to solve system issues šContinuous monitoring of application alerts to ensure systems are running optimally šMaintain and enforce good quality internal documentation for troubleshooting processes, common issues and their resolutions šProvide guidance and training to junior support engineers with daily handover calls to team operating in our New Jersey, Tokyo and London offices šLead incident response efforts, including investigation, documentation and communication šPerform weekly support duties checklists
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
šMinimum of 5 years hands on experience in a highly skilled technical application support role with a trading firm (buy side or sell side), preferably within cryptocurrency, FX, or equities šA self starter - able to take and own a problem and, by seeking assistance where needed, follow it through to resolution šExcellent communication and interpersonal skills šAn understanding of financial products, trading system architecture and risk/compliance šExperience reading code and can develop scripts to help with automation and analysis šHelp in setting up the support model within the team long term šProvide phone or remote support in the non-office hours when required šPreferably open to working shift hours šAn interest in monitoring, alerting and reporting initiatives šPassionate about helping people with mixed technical ability šExperience with Apple MacBooks and Linux technologies
