Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

šŸ“Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all US and Canada employees, including salaries, hourly wages, commissions, bonuses, and overtime. šŸ“Ensure all payroll data is accurate, including employee hours, deductions, and benefits. šŸ“Process payroll for multiple locations, international jurisdictions ensuring adherence to deadlines. šŸ“Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax requirements, and labor regulations. šŸ“Oversee filing of payroll tax reports (e.g., quarterly payroll taxes, W-2, W-3 forms, etc.). šŸ“Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and discrepancies. šŸ“Maintain accurate records of employee compensation, deductions, tax filings, and other payroll-related documentation. šŸ“Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, and Executive teams). šŸ“Oversee the operation and maintenance of the payroll software/system (ADP Workforce Now), ensuring data integrity and troubleshooting issues as needed. šŸ“Implement system improvements to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency. šŸ“Administer employee benefits (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, etc.) within the payroll system and ensure proper deductions are made. šŸ“Coordinate with the HR department to ensure timely and accurate updates to employee benefits enrollment, terminations, and changes. šŸ“Assist in 401K Audit and Workers Compensation Audit šŸ“Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. šŸ“Reconcile payroll data with general ledger and other financial systems to ensure alignment. šŸ“Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize payroll efficiency. šŸ“Stay current on changes to payroll regulations, tax laws, and industry trends.

Qualifications and skills

šŸ“Bachelorā€™s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (preferred). šŸ“10+ years of payroll experience, including at least 4-5 years in a supervisory or management role. šŸ“Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Ceridian, etc.) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. šŸ“Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. šŸ“Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. šŸ“High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
