Job Summary

What you'll do

šŸ“SEC Reporting and Compliance šŸ“Oversee the preparation and filing of all required SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and other filings as required šŸ“Ensure compliance with all SEC regulations, including XBRL tagging, in coordination with legal and external audit partners šŸ“Financial Statements šŸ“Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements šŸ“Assist with the preparation and review of the monthly CFO reporting packages, investor reporting, and audit committee decks šŸ“Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas for improvement šŸ“Team Leadership and Development šŸ“Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day responsibilities šŸ“Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the Accounting team šŸ“Cross-Functional Collaboration: šŸ“Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including executive management, legal, investor relations, and external auditors, to ensure accurate and timely reporting šŸ“Technical Expertise: šŸ“Responsible for all SOX controls for the external reporting function šŸ“Stay up-to-date with new and emerging accounting and reporting standards, assess their impact on the company, and implement necessary changes šŸ“Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team and other departments as needed šŸ“Ad hoc projects as we scale

What We Look For

šŸ“Bachelorā€™s Degree in Accounting or related field, active CPA license a plus šŸ“10+ years of relevant and progressive work experience in an accounting function, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role šŸ“Mix of industry experience and public accounting strongly preferred šŸ“Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements šŸ“Proficient in financial reporting tools and systems (e.g., ERP systems, XBRL software, etc.) šŸ“Excellent attention to detail and writing skills šŸ“Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction and tight deadlines šŸ“Strong people, project, and client management skills šŸ“A flexible approach and ability to prioritize tasks with ambiguity in a high growth environment
