Job Summary

WHAT YOU WILL DO

šŸ“Provide legal and regulatory support to the US business on matters that affect Blockchain.com with an eye towards how they impact the business globally. šŸ“Monitor, assess and advise the business on legal and regulatory issues that impact entity licensing and registration, product development and distribution. šŸ“Support Blockchain.com in its various licensing and registration initiatives (including potential FCM, DCM, RIA and OCC applications). šŸ“Partner with Compliance in respect of regulatory licensing matters and liaise with local regulators where necessary. šŸ“Ensure that the US business is aligned with applicable laws and regulations in the region (and coordinate with colleagues in the UK, Europe and Latin America). šŸ“Handle and/or assist with regulatory inquiries and investigations (as requested). šŸ“Work effectively across business units and product-related functions to resolve complex business and risk issues. šŸ“Engage outside counsel relationships as necessary.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

šŸ“LLB/JD and admission in a US jurisdiction. šŸ“5 - 8+ years relevant regulatory experience; in-house FinTech experience a bonus. šŸ“Experience advising on CFTC / derivatives matters, and familiarity with wider US regulatory frameworks, such as RIAs, broker dealers, and banking. šŸ“Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical, business-friendly advice to clients. šŸ“Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to drive issues to a quick resolution that factors in many non-legal variables, such as brand-risk, communications, government relations, tax, insurance, finance and other business units.
