Job Summary
What You Will be Doing
šAs a Senior Compliance Manager of OEM (Malta), you will work closely with the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO, who is responsible for leading and building out a growing compliance team and enhancing key aspects of our compliance program, while monitoring developments locally. You will: šWork with the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO in training and advisory support to our business partners / stakeholders with regards to compliance, in a constantly evolving regulatory environment. šHelp maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls and frameworks, to make sure we comply with AML and other regulatory obligations (e.g. MiFID). šAct as the deputy MLRO (DMLRO). šMonitor and assess compliance with Maltese / EU laws, regulations and policies, particularly as they pertain to compliance. šAssist the OEM Head of Compliance / MLRO oversee annual, periodic and on-demand compliance reviews and investigations, including but not limited to compliance monitoring programme reviews, annual policy updates / refreshes, and compliance risk assessments. šConduct and oversee company training schedules. šPrepare compliance reports, including reports to management and the board, and other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders. šAssist with special projects as needed.
What We Look For in You
š6 years plus experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services, payments companies, fintech or cryptocurrency sectors. šPrevious regulatory / supervisory / compliance experience in the investment services / derivatives industry. šWorking knowledge and experience of developing compliance policies, to ensure compliance with EU financial regulations e.g. MFSA investment services, MiFID and GDPR. šExperience of overseeing an effective compliance management program in line with Malta / EU standards, and an awareness of local and international industry best practices. šGood project management skills. šProven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. šSelf-motivated, critical thinker and adept at working independently and in a dispersed team environment covering multiple and varied tasks. šIntuitive, highly ethical and comfortable to question and challenge. šStrong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. šBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
