Job Summary
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions/Primary Duties:
šLeave Administration (U.S. and Canada).
šServe as the primary liaison between employees on leave and the third-party vendor, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
šAdvise managers and Human Resources (HR) partners on leave policies, procedures, and employee rights, including state paid benefit programs.
šDevelop and maintain training materials and policy documentation for leave of absence programs.
šLead the implementation of a new third-party leave administration vendor (ADA, FMLA, LTD, Military Leave, Paid Parental Leave and STD), incorporating best practices and process documentation.
šCollaborate with HR and management to ensure proper leave tracking and smooth return-to-work transitions.
šCoordinate with external benefits administrator on direct billing for benefit premiums.
šAnalyze reports and partner with HR Reporting to create/maintain dashboards on leave trends, usage, and compliance metrics for management.
šPartner with the Legal department on any data requests for leave of absence cases.
šStay current on federal, state, and provincial leave laws to ensure compliance and recommend policy updates.
Additional responsibilities:
šGenerate/Analyze reports to support annual plan audits, Non-Discrimination Testing, and assist in corrective actions.
šLend expertise with planning, implementation and communication of Benefits Annual Enrollment, and other benefits changes.
šAssist in hosting benefits meetings for Benefits Annual Enrollment or as needed.
šResearch and resolve escalated issues from vendors, HR, or employees.
šIdentify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
šContribute to various benefits-related projects and tasks as assigned.
