Job Summary

Your Core Responsibilities:

šŸ“Combine creativity and experience to rapidly generate high quality, testable ideas, in global commodity markets. šŸ“Use a rigorous and structured process to ensure your results are reliable and well tested. šŸ“Develop strategies based on ideas and signals. Work closely with the team on production level. šŸ“Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, research tools and other analytic platforms. šŸ“Systematically monitor commodity data and information, including supply/demand trends, inventory levels, physical premium, shipping flows, policy changes, price/volume-related, and other market-moving factors. šŸ“Leverage ideas and skills from related fields, including other asset classes, finance and investment academic, algorithmic research, public conferences and workshops etc.

Your Skills and Experience:

šŸ“Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, CS, or a related quantitative field. šŸ“Strong understanding of commodity markets and factors. šŸ“3+ years of experience in a commodities-focused QR role (buy-side, sell-side, or trading house). šŸ“Strong programming skills in Python, with knowledge on database a benefit. šŸ“Significant practical experience with at least one mainstream ML approach. šŸ“Fluent in English and Chinese.
