Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
šRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports šRun air conditioning cooling load calculations, heat loss calculations following ASHRAE standards šLead and/or contribute to design of HVAC systems for various facilities: office, hangar, rocket, and customer payload environmental control systems šDesign HVAC systems to comply with ANSI/ASHRAE Standards 55, 62.1, 90.1 šImplement and execute HVAC system commissioning in compliance with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and Standard 202 šConfer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information šResearch and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
šProfessional experience with clean-room design and maintenance šProfessional experience with energy modeling and HVAC load calculations šPrevious professional experience with system design, sizing, specification and installation of HVAC chillers, pumps, boilers, air handlers, heat pumps, HEPA filtration and building automation šFamiliarity with HVAC/facility monitoring hardware and software šIntermediate level of experience with AutoCAD / Revit
