Job Summary

What you’ll do

📍Influence and oversee experience design quality across our solutions that span across many teams and are determined to the overall business health and growth. You do so with limited guidance, weighing in on strategic business decisions and leading conversations around our experience vision. 📍Lead the governance of UI design, ensuring consistency, scalability, and high standards across all of Bitpanda’s products. Mentor and coach the team on UI design craft, providing feedback and ensuring high design quality through design critiques, reviews, and governance practices. 📍Own projects and XD initiatives from start to finish, including running design sprints and collaboration sessions to understand and explore customer problems, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, user testing, and leading stakeholder reviews. 📍Drive and optimize design operations, establishing efficient workflows and processes that enable the design team to work effectively across multiple projects and teams. 📍Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to ensure our design language and patterns are aligned with strategic business goals. Shape the long-term 📍UI design vision, continuously improving processes and tools that foster collaboration and creativity. 📍Provide hands-on support in high-priority UI design tasks, when needed, to help the team deliver exceptional digital experiences.

Who you are

📍Background in fintech or passion for financial products. 📍Extensive expertise in experience design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your visual design craft in creating polished, user-centred digital experiences. 📍Experience in design operations and governance, with a strong understanding of how to build and scale efficient design processes. 📍Experience in mentoring and coaching designers to develop their skills, particularly in UI craft and attention to detail. 📍Engage in strategic project discussions considering the holistic customer experience and insights with the ability to break down complex UI challenges into simple, elegant solutions while considering the technical and business constraints. 📍Strong organisational and project management skills to oversee multiple design projects and initiatives simultaneously. Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma, Miro, and JIRA, and experience in maintaining and evolving design systems. 📍Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus), and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
