Rome Protocol is building a shared sequencer network leveraging Solana. Shared sequencers solve the biggest problems for Ethereumās rollup-centric future. Using Solana as a shared sequencer leverages a well-tested, secure, and high throughput network to solve these problems. We are building a shared sequencer that can be integrated with any Ethereum based rollups. It is intended to be used for thousands of rollups. We work in person from our Los Angeles and New York offices, and are remote friendly.
Job Summary
Responsibilities
šInfrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services. šCI/CD: Develop and maintain automated pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline development workflows. šBlockchain Support: Set up and manage infrastructure for Solana nodes and related blockchain technologies. šAutomation: Build and implement automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency. šMonitoring & Optimization: Monitor infrastructure and applications, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize for reliability and scalability. šCollaboration: Work closely with developers to implement DevOps best practices and support decentralized application deployments.
Requirements
šExperience with AWS: Proficiency in deploying and managing services such as EC2, Lambda, LoadBalancer, Firewall, kafka, and IAM. šGitHub Actions: Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and optimization. šBlockchain & Solana: Familiarity with blockchain protocols and experience managing Solana nodes or similar technologies. šAutomation Expertise: Proven track record of scripting and automating tasks using tools like Terraform, cdk, or custom shell scripts. šContainerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for microservices orchestration. šMonitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch. šProblem Solver: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. šCollaboration Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
