Job Summary
Responsibilities
📍Translate complex concepts like data contracts, schema evolution, static analysis, and CI/CD integration into digestible, actionable content for software engineers and data teams. 📍Create blog posts and thought-leadership content demonstrating how the platform improves data quality, reliability, and collaboration. 📍Develop content that bridges the gap between developer and data practitioner audiences (e.g., data engineers, DevOps, platform teams, analytics leaders). 📍Adhere closely to the client’s brand voice and messaging guidelines while making content engaging, authoritative, and community-friendly. 📍Write for developer-oriented channels (e.g., blog, Substack-style newsletter, GitHub-adjacent content, technical guides). 📍Stay current on emerging developer tools, data infrastructure trends, and “shift-left” practices in quality, governance, and observability. 📍Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and client stakeholders to capture technical accuracy and product nuance.
Who You Are
📍3+ years of experience in a developer-facing role such as DevRel, developer advocacy, software engineering, or data engineering. You can use this hands-on experience to inform your writing. 📍2+ years of technical writing experience. You know how to explain concepts like CI/CD integration, schema validation, data observability, or contract-driven development to both technical and business readers. 📍Strong understanding of developer workflows (Git, testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools). 📍Familiarity with data engineering challenges (schema drift, data lineage, pipeline breakage, data quality testing).
