Job Summary
Responsibilities:
šOversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, with a focus on crypto-related transactions. šDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures specific to crypto assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. šMonitor and reconcile crypto balances across multiple accounts and platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions. šCollaborate with internal teams to ensure proper recording and classification of crypto-related revenue, expenses, and gains/losses. šImplement controls to mitigate the risk of fraudulent activities and ensure compliance with AML and KYC regulations specific to crypto assets. šStay updated on changes in crypto regulations and industry best practices, assessing their impact on accounting practices, and implementing necessary adjustments. šWork closely with technology teams to enhance data integrity and automation in crypto accounting processes, including integrations with blockchain networks, APIs, or other relevant technologies. šEstablish and maintain relationships with third-party service providers, such as crypto exchanges, custodians, and auditors, to support accounting and reporting requirements. šAssist in the evaluation and selection of crypto accounting software and tools, ensuring they meet the company's needs and comply with industry standards.
Requirements:
šBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. š5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on crypto accounting or related fields. šSolid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations relevant to crypto assets šExperience with crypto-specific accounting software and tools is highly desirable. šStrong knowledge of compliance requirements related to crypto assets. šExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting. šExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. šAbility to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
