Job Summary
What You'll Do
đź“ŤRevenue Recognition & Analysis: Perform detailed analysis and reporting of revenue, deferred revenue, and contra-revenues in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable standards. đź“ŤRevenue Process Optimization: Design and implement efficient, automated processes for revenue recognition and financial reporting. đź“ŤContinuously improve revenue-related processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. đź“ŤRevenue Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for management and stakeholders. Explain revenue trends, variances, and key metrics to internal and external stakeholders. đź“ŤTechnical Accounting & Policy Development: Research and apply technical accounting standards to complex revenue transactions and ensure compliance with ASC 606. Develop and update accounting policies and procedures related to revenue recognition. đź“ŤCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and to support strategic initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions based on revenue data.
What We're Looking For
📍Minimum 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 📍Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred). 📍Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with demonstrated experience in ASC 606, 820, and some familiarity with other technical accounting pronouncements such as ASC 350-60. 📍Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in SaaS and/or Web3, specifically with blockchain protocol and developer revenue streams. 📍Analytical Skills: Ability to distill complex financial information, perform detailed analysis, and develop revenue forecasting models.
