Job Summary
Responsibilities
šAdvising various business lines, including product, engineering, client services, implementations, business development/growth, marketing, and finance on issues related to product development and commercializations, partner relations, risk management,, and compliance with laws and regulations on privacy, data security, marketing, and consumer protection šMaintain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to U.S. and international crypto asset services providers and of Zero Hash's commercial agreements šResearching a range of novel legal questions and distilling findings to advise internal stakeholders šDevelop and maintain deep understanding of the Zero Hash product stack and product capabilities and functionalities šBuilding relationships with outside counsel, partners, and regulators in furtherance of driving business goals
Requirements
šJ.D. degree, with 6+ years of relevant legal experience at top law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department, preferably within a fast-growing fintech startup šAdmitted and in good standing with a state bar or the District of Columbia šExperience in financial services, particularly with money transmitters and cryptocurrency firms šFamiliarity with state and federal consumer financial services laws and regulations, including data security and privacy laws šStrong interest in new and emerging technologies, particularly blockchain and cryptocurrencies šExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills šAbility to work across functions and consult with technology development teams šStrong project-management skills, with attention to detail
