About the company
The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. The EF is not a company, or even a traditional non-profit. We do not control Ethereum, nor are we the only organization that funds critical development of Ethereum-related technologies. We are part of a large ecosystem of organizations, individuals, and companies that support Ethereum. Our mission is to do what is best for Ethereum’s long-term success. Our role is to allocate resources to critical projects, to be a valued voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and to advocate for Ethereum to the outside world. Since 2014, EF has hosted Devcon, an annual 4-day conference which has become the oldest and most prominent event in the Ethereum community (and arguably the entire blockchain space). The event attracts developers, designers, researchers, creators, and others — many of whom are intrigued by cutting-edge technology, decentralization, privacy/security, free and open-source software, and the potential for Ethereum to change the world for the better. Job Summary
Key Activities
đź“ŤCoordinate research and standards development (e.g., for agent payments, trust, privacy, A2A/MCP integration, open models). đź“ŤEngage with teams building AI infra and applications on Ethereum: understand their architectures, identify gaps, and connect them with EF resources. đź“Ť Organize and facilitate working groups, design discussions, and workshops across EF, L2s, and ecosystem partners. đź“Ť Synthesize community feedback and help shape specifications into stable proposals (EIPs/ERCs, Linux Foundation WGs, etc.). đź“ŤCollaborate with EF Ecosystem teams to support high-leverage decentralized AI projects. đź“Ť Map the decentralized AI landscape (agents, inference networks, data protocols, open source and web3-specific models and frameworks) and maintain an ecosystem view of active efforts.
Requirements
📍To excel in this role, you should have extensive hands-on experience building on Ethereum and/or AI—whether smart contracts, dApps, infrastructure, or AI tools, finetuning, inference, evaluations—and strong, well-informed opinions about how the AI ecosystem on Ethereum should evolve.
