Job Summary
What You'll Do:
šLearn the Basics: Get hands-on exposure to the fundamentals of trading and engineering through interactive sessions and desk shadows led by IMCās traders and software engineers, designed to help you learn and get inspired. šHands-On Experience: Dive into the action with a dynamic market simulation where youāll follow the flow of a trade and explore the roles of quantitative researcher, trader, and software engineer. šPersonalized Mentorship: Be matched with a Trader or Software Engineer mentor to start building your IMC network and receive ongoing mentorship after the program, supporting your continued learning and exploration of opportunities. šElevate your Career: While the program will include advice on how to effectively position yourself for a future role at IMC, all participants of the program will be considered for a Summer 2026 Internship opportunity ā prior to applications opening to the general public. šThis program offers a powerful combination of education, mentorship, and hands-on experience, designed to equip you with the knowledge and connections to thrive in the competitive world of trading and technology.
What You'll Need:
šAvailability to attend the program in Chicago from January 13-15, 2025. šEnrollment status: You should be in your second year of undergraduate study and on track to graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. šAcademic focus: Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related analytical, quantitative, or technology-oriented field. šAnalytical proficiency: Demonstrated strong analytical skills with a passion for tackling complex problems. šProgramming experience: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, Matlab, or R is an advantage. šInterest in financial markets: A genuine interest in financial markets is encouraged, though no prior knowledge or experience is required. šWork eligibility: You must be eligible to work in the United States.
