Job Summary
"With the recent launch of dYdX Chain - a fully decentralized and open-sourced version of the dYdX protocol - it is crucial for the dYdX community to actively engage in promoting the growth and expansion of the dYdX DAO. The dYdX Operations subDAO is the second dYdX subDAO, first established through an on-chain proposal that passed on December 18th, 2022. In 2023, the subDAO was granted a further $6.6m in funding by the dYdX community to provide crucial infrastructure for the dYdX Chain.
We are now looking to expand our dynamic team with a part-time, remote DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of key projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
šDeploy and manage web applications on Vercel, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery. Handle iOS and Android app deployments using Bitrise, maintaining high standards of performance, and timely execution. šKeep GitHub repositories in sync with upstream repositories, ensuring alignment with ongoing development work and industry best practices. šPerform routine configurations on Terraform cloud instances, including editing variables and updating service endpoints. šMonitor performance dashboards for third-party services, ensuring optimal efficiency and uptime. šRespond to and manage emergency situations following established protocols and rule books. šParticipate in an on-call rotation using PagerDuty. šCollaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment strategies and practices. šStay updated with the latest trends in blockchain technology and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
šBachelorās degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. š1-3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role. šProficiency in configuring and deploying web applications, particularly with Vercel, and in mobile app deployment using Bitrise. šFamiliarity with GitHub repository management and synchronization. šBasic understanding and experience with Terraform cloud configurations. šExperience or strong interest in blockchain technology, particularly Cosmos SDK blockchains. šExperience in configuring and utilizing DataDog for monitoring and performance analysis. šAbility to monitor and interpret performance metrics. šStrong problem-solving skills and ability to follow detailed emergency protocols. šExcellent communication and teamwork skills. šFluency in English, both written and spoken.
