Job Summary
You would own responsibilities that may include:
šNegotiating contracts that are core to our regulated digital asset business, including digital asset custody, consulting services, partnerships, non-disclosure,, in Europe, MENA and APAC region. šDrafting and negotiating bespoke contracts for first-of-their kind products and services with limited precedent. šDrafting terms of use and disclaimers. šWorking closely and partnering with the sales, product, regulatory, compliance, product development and marketing teams. šHelping with due diligence requests related to transactions. šManaging legal and regulatory risks in a thoughtful and commercially practicable manner. šHelping develop and drive legal contracting process and operations including with respect to workflows, customer contracting lifecycle, pipeline management and document retention. šSupporting corporate governance. šEscalating issues to senior team members as appropriate. šPitching in whenever and wherever needed, even when not directly related to responsibilities described above.
Your experience and skill set will cover many of the following:
šLaw degree from a recognised university in the US/UK/ Singapore/ šHong Kong or any other relevant jurisdiction š4+ years PQE experience in a top-tier law firm with exposure to international legal systems and ways of doing business and/or in-house legal experience at an international financial services or crypto company, ideally involving customer-facing sales, trading and/or custody. Must have at least 3 years of transactions experience at a law firm. šA strong understanding of how key terms are used in contracts, and how they are used to allocate risks associated with a business arrangement. šAbility to draft complex legal clauses and manage transactions with sophisticated institutional counterparties and outside law firms. šAbility to balance multiple tasks in accordance with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. šAbility to assess and balance legal risks against business interests. šGood understanding of blockchain and digital assets. šFlexible, ācan-doā attitude and willingness to learn šExcellent English
