Job Summary
What You’ll Do
📍Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other Engineering teams, Data Engineering, Product, Business, and Leadership, to develop and maintain our loan origination systems. 📍Integrate with third parties to further Figure’s capabilities to underwrite loans. 📍Analyze and optimize loan origination technology, from backend performance to FE user experience and everything in between. 📍Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and help mentor junior engineers on the team. 📍Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption when they align with our strategic goals.
What We Look For
📍Team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for solving complex problems. 📍BS/BA or greater in Computer Science or a related field. 📍2+ years of software engineering experience. 📍Experience programming in Kotlin, Java, or similar object oriented programming languages. 📍Familiarity with backend databases, primarily PostgreSQL. 📍Ability to work independently and ask questions to resolve blockers effectively. 📍Strong problem-solving skills. 📍Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
