The team
Join the Trading Technologies team and start building the internet of money by supporting the Sr Director of Engineering - Trading. The Trading Technology team is responsible for everything to do with the trading backend services such as the matching engine, market data gateways, internal and external APIs, and various other trading services. The Senior Quantitative Software Engineer will be a key contributor to the success of the Kraken Risk Desk team.
The opportunity
šDevelop quantitative models and algorithms to build trading strategies for the Kraken Risk Desk šConduct research and analysis of large data sets to identify trends and patterns šCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data šDevelop, maintain and improve tools, systems and processes to streamline the data analysis and modeling process šWork with cross functionally with other engineering teams to ensure proper implementation of models in production systems šParticipate in code reviews, identify and fix issues in the code, and develop testing frameworks šStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantitative engineering and bring new ideas and techniques to the team šPerforming other duties as required
Skills you should HODL
šBachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field šMinimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative engineering or related field šExperience developing high-performance, multi-threaded applications using several programming languages including C++ šKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python šExperience working with large data sets and statistical models šStrong analytical and problem-solving skills šAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment šExcellent communication and collaboration skills šExperience with or knowledge of cryptocurrency is a plus
