Job Summary
About the role:
As a Senior Backend Developer at Bitfinex, you will be part of the team that works on the development of the backend components of all Bitfinex Services (main trading application, Lightning Network support, Blockchain integrations, and more). This includes building new products and features using agile methodologies, ensuring scalability across all backend services, and upholding the highest security principles to protect the entire user base.
Responsibilities:
šDevelop and deploy new products and features using agile methodologies to ensure the best professional trading experience for customers. šMaintain and improve the scalability of all backend services powering the Bitfinex platform, including the Bitfinex API. šBuild all API services and backend processes with the highest security principles and standards to protect the safety of the entire user base.
Requirements:
šExceptional Node/JavaScript skills. šFamiliar with microservices architecture. šHave actively participated in the development of a complex platform. šGood experience in interacting with databases (MySQL, MongoDB). šAbility to quickly learn new technologies. šGood understanding of security practices.
Nice-to-have: šExperience with blockchain integration. šComfortable with high-availability concepts. šRuby, Rust or C++ skills. šExperience with message queues (Redis), caches and job queues.
