Job Summary
Responsibilities:
📍Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, from concept to final product implementation. 📍Conduct engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity and performance of mechanical designs. 📍Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical systems with overall product designs. 📍Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting with problem-solving and professional development. 📍Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning meetings to ensure project objectives are met. 📍Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test procedures. 📍Perform hands-on testing and validation of mechanical designs, including prototype fabrication and testing. 📍Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering, and apply them to project designs and processes. 📍Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source components and materials for mechanical systems. 📍Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for mechanical designs and products.
Requirements
📍Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred. 📍7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product design and development. 📍Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and finite element analysis tools. 📍Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to design and optimize mechanical systems. 📍Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. 📍Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers. 📍Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering, such as ASME, ANSI, and ISO. 📍Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles. 📍Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software and processes. 📍Professional engineering (PE) license is a plus.
