While the development of our GoArt project continues rapidly, we are starting a new AA PC/Console game. Our project, is going to be published by a large media organization. We have a team that has been working together for a long time, has a common climate and a development language. Job Summary
Responsibilities
šDesign game mechanics, core loops, economy models and meta game features for mobile games. šOversee the balance of in-game items and pricing, as well as the development of in-game shops and currencies. šEnsure that the mechanics reinforce the themes of the game world and encourage exploration and discovery. šDesign quests, events, and other activities that players can engage in within the game world. šCreate a variety of different environments and areas within the game world that are thematically consistent and offer players different gameplay experiences. šConsider, plan and detail every element of a new game including the setting, rules, story flow, props, character interface, prototype and modes of play. šPut together a concept document and use this to convince the development team that the game is worth proceeding with. šAssess risks to and ensure shipping features by leading test efforts that align with product objectives and develop scalable solutions. šLead on the user experience (UX) design of the game, ensuring players have the best experience. šHelp the team to develop in increments by slicing design changes into small elements. šDeciding and applying necessary design changes in accordance with User Data and Feedbacks.
Qualifications
šHaving 4+ years of experience in game design, especially in Mobile games. šDeliver clear game design documentation and generating wireframes. šCommunicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams to support implementation and roadmap planning. šDesign and optimise key features that further the overall strategic vision of the product. šWork with teams of engineers, artists, and producers to define creative vision and ultimately deliver an extraordinary gameplay experience. šDemonstrable feature development ownership from inception to delivery. šStrong understanding of game balance and pacing in a free-to-play model. šUnderstanding of Mechanics-Dynamics-Aesthetics and Data Driven design methodology. šData authoring and editing in development engine. šPassion for video games; an avid gamer with a detailed understanding of free-to-play games.
