Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

📍Monthly Closing – Participate in monthly closing processes for inventory and fixed assets, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. 📍Create inventory roll forwards to investigate and resolve variances between inventory subledger and physical inventory counts then process any adjustments as needed. 📍Data Analysis – Analyze financial results to identify unexpected variances. Provide flux commentary on Balance Sheet and Income Statement for accounts relevant to inventory and fixed assets. Review slow-moving inventory and calculate appropriate obsolescence reserves. 📍Enhancements – Work with subsidiaries to improve accuracy and efficiency of processes related to inventory. Integrate acquisitions into corporate workflow, as necessary. Identify and implement automation improvements within processes. 📍System & Document Maintenance – Monitor inventory and cost accounting modules within ERP system, including item listings, statuses, and unit costs. Maintain accounting policies and procedures that exude the highest level of efficiency while conserving internal controls and compliance with US GAAP. 📍Financial Audits – Act as point of contact for annual observation of physical inventory count. Perform physical inventory counts of newly acquired inventory, as needed for opening balance sheet calculations. Assist in internal and external audit requests, and ensure compliance of all relevant SOX controls. Contribute to various special projects and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

📍Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 📍Experience – Minimum of three years of related accounting experience. Payment industry or public accounting experience is preferred. Knowledge of ASC 840/842 and 330 preferred. 📍Technical Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills. Oracle EBS/Oracle Fusion experience is a plus. 📍Adaptability – Self-directed individual with strong motivation and willing to take initiative. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and have well developed verbal and written communication skills in order to collaborate with colleagues from various departments (AP, AR, IT, and Operations).
