Job Summary

Responsibilities

šŸ“Lead the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases across multiple projects and teams. šŸ“Develop and implement release management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality software delivery. šŸ“Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product management teams to define and manage release timelines, dependencies, and deliverables. šŸ“Oversee the preparation and execution of release activities, including code freeze, build, deployment, and post-release validation. šŸ“Ensure effective risk management by identifying potential release risks and developing mitigation strategies. šŸ“Establish and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures. šŸ“Monitor and report on release progress, status, and metrics to stakeholders and executive management. šŸ“Continuously improve release processes by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. šŸ“Manage and mentor a team of release engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. šŸ“Stay current with industry trends and advancements in release management tools and technologies.

Qualifications

šŸ“Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. šŸ“7+ years of experience in release management, software development, or a related field. šŸ“Proven experience managing complex software release cycles in an Agile/Scrum environment. šŸ“Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices. šŸ“Proficiency with release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and Azure DevOps. šŸ“Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. šŸ“Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. šŸ“Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. šŸ“Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. šŸ“Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile) are a plus.
