Job Summary
Essential Responsibilities
šTake full ownership of property-level accounting, from transactions to financial statements. šOperate and improve accounting procedures and schedules to produce reliable, timely financial information. šIncorporate new tools and systems to maximize efficiency and reduce errors in transaction processing. šCollaborate closely within the accounting and finance team to execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close. šPrepare financial reporting packages for management, investors, lenders, auditors, and tax advisors. šSupport budgeting, forecasting, data analysis, and data visualization efforts for use by other departments, executive leadership, and the board of directors. šServe as an active contributor to department initiatives, including long-term planning, process improvement, and systems upgrades. šDevelop deep familiarity with our accounting systems, using them to their full capabilities and recommending enhancements. šBuild a thorough understanding of the companyās accounting policies and controls, helping improve them over time to maintain compliance and ensure the integrity of our financial data. šReview and maintain the general ledger in line with policies and controls.
