When you join SDF as a Community Manager, you will be a part of a team thatās leveraging that opportunity to increase developer participation in order to bootstrap the ecosystem of tools, protocols, dapps, and educational resources necessary for Soroban to succeed.
Job Summary
In this role, you will:
šWork closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams.
šProvide legal input on the design of new digital wallet functionalities, payment tools, and infrastructure.
šDraft terms of use, privacy policies, and online disclosures.
šAdvise on money transmission laws as they relate to custody and key management for self-hosted applications.
šAdvise on related compliance obligations, consumer protection, and privacy issues.
šProvide guidance on platform application marketplace rules and restrictions such as the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Chrome Web Store.
šWork with our in-house policy team to monitor regulatory developments in the U.S. and international markets.
šWork with our outside counsel where necessary for subject matter expertise or international support.
You have:
š3+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience, preferably in tech, tradfi, fintech, or, ideally, crypto. šStrong communication skills and the ability to present complex compliance and regulatory issues in a clear and concise manner. šPractical risk assessment skills and the ability to work with product teams to find mitigation options and provide results-oriented legal guidance. šAbility to understand complex technical and financial systems and how they interact with the law. šOrganized and able to prioritize (and re-prioritize) in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. šExcellent EQ and interpersonal skills. šA J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar. šAnd most importantlyā¦. a sense of humor!
