What You’ll Do

📍As our Podcast Host for Lightspeed, you'll co-host and help produce one of the most successful shows and brands in the Blockworks podcast network. You'll be the face, voice, and thought leader of the brand helping to grow the audience and impact of show. Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like: 📍Develop Podcast Content: You'll work to design and develop the content and themes for each episode of Lightspeed, using the latest news and events in the crypto industry to help inform topics. 📍Co-host the Lightspeed Podcast: You'll be directly responsible for planning, scripting, hosting, and recording two episodes of the show per week. 📍Identify, Source, and Secure Guests: You'll proactively work to identify podcast guests who have untapped potential for creating exceptional stories relevant to our in-house shows. 📍Contribute to Newsletters: You'll partner with our editorial team to help write contributions to the Lightspeed Newsletter multiple times per week. 📍Drive Social Engagement: You'll regularly leverage personal and professional social channels to help grow the Lightspeed audience through exceptional content and authentic marketing. 📍Partner with Sales: You'll partner and collaborate with our sales team to help build new areas of sponsorship and strengthen the deep relationship with current sponsors. 📍Learn and Embrace the Blockwork Audience: In conjunction with the rest of the production team, you'll work to understand the core audience segments and proactively uncover insights that will stimulate engagement and content evolution. 📍Build the Lightspeed Brand IRL: In partnership with other Blockworks team members, you'll help grow the Lightspeed brand by representing the show at in-person events, including listener meet-ups, Solana Hackathons, Blockworks Conferences, and more. 📍Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.

What You’ve Done Before

📍First and foremost, you're a crypto native with a deep understanding of the industry and, specifically, Solana. You consider yourself charismatic and confident, especially in front of a camera. You have an unbridled enthusiasm and passion for storytelling and creating exceptional content. You've demonstrated success hosting or producing crypto content for podcasts, webinars, blogs, or other reporting, and you're excited to share your best work examples. You have an uncanny ability to discern compelling stories and are always on the look to find the engaging needle in the haystack of noise. Lastly, you've been historically successful at growing an audience and following and are excited to do it again.
