Job Summary
About the role:
Thesis* is a pioneering venture studio dedicated to building on Bitcoin since 2014. Our projects include Mezo, a Bitcoin finance app; Threshold Network, a privacy protocol for public blockchains; Fold (NASDAQ:FLD), for earning Bitcoin on purchases; Taho, a community-owned cryptocurrency wallet; and Lolli, an app providing Bitcoin rewards for purchases and gaming. Investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Pantera, Multicoin, Polychain Capital, and Draper Associates.
As our People Operations Partner, reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll drive operational excellence across our remote-first, globally distributed team by building scalable, tech-enabled people systems that optimize the employee experience. You'll serve as a strategic advisor on people matters while executing tactically, requiring both strategic thinking to anticipate organizational needs and hands-on expertise grounded in HR best practices.
Responsibilities:
šExecute people operations initiatives that enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and scale efficiently across our global team. šDesign and continuously improve scalable, tech-enabled processes for onboarding, performance management, offboarding, and all touchpoints of the employee journey. šDrive HRIS implementation, process automation, and data analytics to optimize people operations and enable data-driven decision making. šExecute on our AI strategy by automating people operations processes and supporting the broader team in experimenting with and adopting AI tools where they drive meaningful impact. šIdentify manual HR processes and implement technology solutions to increase efficiency and reduce administrative lift across all people processes. šOversee relationships with PEO providers and EOR solutions, evaluate vendor performance, and assess alternative HR software solutions to optimize global workforce management. šDesign performance review cycles and compensation frameworks that align with business strategy, using data analytics to identify talent trends and inform strategic decisions. šImplement efficient benefits administration systems, evaluate and source benefits providers for US employees, and ensure compliance through automated processes. šOptimize recruitment workflows, improve use and uptake of our applicant tracking systems, and create data-driven processes to improve time-to-hire and candidate experience. šDevelop and deliver training programs for managers on effective management practice and team-facing trainings. šDevelop HR metrics dashboards and reporting systems to provide data-driven views of workforce trends and continuous improvement initiatives. šProvide strategic guidance on complex personnel situations, organizational design decisions, and workforce planning. šHandle sensitive employee relations matters, conduct workplace investigations, and resolve conflicts using established HR protocols and best practices. šPartner with leadership to assess organizational structure, anticipate talent needs, and develop strategic workforce plans aligned with business growth objectives.
Requirements:
š3ā5 years of people operations, HR technology, or process optimization experience with a focus on scaling efficient systems. šDemonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations situations, workplace investigations, and personnel decisions using industry-standard best practices. šStrong understanding of employment regulations and ability to apply legal compliance strategically. šProven experience managing international people operations across multiple jurisdictions. šStrong background in remote team management, communication, and engagement. šHands-on experience with HRIS implementation, ATS systems, HR automation tools, data analysis, and reporting capabilities. šAbility to think operationally about people systems while executing scalable solutions. šExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence across all levels. šGenuine curiosity about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the future of finance.
Nice-to-have: šProfessional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent). šProject management certification (PMP or equivalent). šExperience in high-growth startups, tech companies, or venture-backed companies. šBackground with modern HR tech stack (Lattice, HiBob, Greenhouse, Slack integrations). šExperience with equity compensation and startup benefits design. šExperience building people operations from the ground up. šBackground in crypto, fintech, or financial services industries. šBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
