Job Summary
Technical Skills:
šApply legal and digital asset expertise to provide negotiation support for vendor contracts, experience and emerging trends to provide insights, guidance and leadership to shape strategy and tackle critical issues internally and externally. šDrive technical quality and output of the Legal department and advise on how to improve execution of vendor agreements. šHas a complete conceptual knowledge and full understanding in contractual negotiations, with a focus on vendor and partnership agreements, privacy, date and trademarks, and a working knowledge of related areas. šApplies analytical and problem solving skills to complex legal issues. šResolves a wide range of issues in creative ways, suggests different potential approaches and adapts to circumstance.
Complexity and impact of work
šWork with the Global Lead Counsel, Commercial and Trading, and Member, Commercial Legal to ensure that the Legal departmentās vendor contracting function produces high-quality output in an efficient and scalable manner. šHelp draft and negotiate contracts that stand the test of time. šKeep abreast of industry norms and help set the industry standard for our agreements, protecting Anchorage from legal and reputational risk while maintaining a fair and commercially friendly posture with our clients. šApplies judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions with limited information, and evaluates the right course of action.Can work autonomously, defines priorities under broad direction and applies problem solving skills. Work review is only required at critical points. šDirectly responsible for the entire lifecycle of a contract including negotiation, execution and implementation/interpretation. šWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of contractual provisions and issues requires evaluation of multiple factors.
