Job Summary
Key responsibilities:
šCommercial contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, licensing agreements, event sponsorship agreements, website terms of use, SAFEs/SAFTs etc. šProvide advice on employment law matters, including employee contracts, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. šAssist in resolving disputes related to contracts, partnerships, or employment, using alternative dispute resolution methods where appropriate. šCollaborate with the software development team to identify legal risks and provide proactive solutions on regulatory compliance matters and the protection of IP. šManage corporate governance matters, including company filings, board meetings and other administrative tasks. šStay updated on relevant legislation and case law, providing timely and accurate legal advice and conduct research on various topics including but not limited to issues in the Web3 space. šLiaise with external legal counsel as needed, particularly on complex matters. šCoordinate cross-functional legal input by working closely with other members in the legal and compliance team.
Who you are
š1-2 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with exposure to working in the blockchain / tech sector šFully qualified lawyer in the UK or Europe with experience working in a top law firm or in-house legal department. šNative English speaker šExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to explain complex legal matters to non-legal stakeholders šProven ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, with strong time management and organizational skills šStrong understanding of the legal aspects of decentralized technologies, smart contracts, and blockchain
