Job Summary
Responsibilities
šProvide leadership to the company's finance, accounting, cash flow and tax strategy, while optimising the companyās financial performance and strategic position. šOversee the day-to-day operations of the business including finance, facilities management, HR, legal, operational risk and general operations šDevelop, in collaboration with the Founders, an annual operating plan (āroadmapā) that supports the long-term operations strategy šAssist the Founders in developing and overseeing the long-term business strategies of the business šKeep the Founders fully informed in a timely and candid manner of the conduct of the day-today operations of the business towards the achievement of its established goals and of all material deviations from the goals or objectives and policies established by the Founders šWith respect to operational matters, ensure communications, resolution of issues and project development šEnsure the development of health and safety practices for the business and oversee compliance with those practices šFoster a business culture that promotes ethical practices, shared values and encourages individual integrity šMaintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels šAssess and manage the principal risks of the business within finance and operations šAssist the Founders in establishing an appropriate organisational structure
Qualities that make a great candidate
šExperience working in a scale up proprietary trading firm, family office, financial trading firm, or crypto related business is highly desirable šPrevious experience in a senior management position such as a Head of Finance & Operations / COO šFully Qualified accountant or qualified by experience, with up-to-date technical knowledge šFinancial accounting and analysis skills, including project budgeting and forecasting šAbility to work under pressure at high level šExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills šExcellent analytical and data management skills šAbility to think proactively and pre-emptively about business issues šAble to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external third-party advisors at both a technical and non-technical level šHighly organised with good project management skills, experience of project co-ordination and delivery to deadlines šDemonstrated initiative with a strong sense of urgency and purpose with proven ability to operate in high pressure situations whilst handling multiple workstreams simultaneously šExcellent organisational and planning ability šProblem-solving aptitude combined with hands-on can-do mindset
