Job Summary
Responsibilities
šServe as an expert on Meta's energy and renewable data foundation, responsible for integrating multiple data sources to create a single-source-of-truth database šConceptualize and own the data architecture on behalf of the global energy team in collaboration with data science and engineering teams šApply the data foundation to support various analytical workstreams to inform Metaās energy usage and renewable strategy in key US and European energy markets šShepard the design, build, and launch collections of sophisticated data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products or domains šEngage with multiple stakeholders to further integrate energy data within Meta's data infrastructure and create scalable tooling to support growth šCreate advanced analytical models to forecast energy usage and cost, and dissect market risks, either by collaboration or individual work šSupport the delivery of monthly and annual summaries of key energy metrics to the šGlobal Energy team and internal stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
šBachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, finance or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience. š7+ years of relevant work experience using data analytics to answer energy and electricity market questions. šExperience applying quantitative methodologies to analyze the energy market risks and opportunities. šExperience collaborating with data engineers and data scientists and building productive cross-functional relationships. šHands-on experience analyzing and interpreting energy usage data, electric tariffs, wholesale energy market data, and renewable energy data. šExperience in managing multiple work streams concurrently and prioritize workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
šExperience working with electric utilities, large energy consumers, energy service providers or consultancies. šExperience with Tableau or other data visualization software. šPrevious experience with data center energy analytics. šAdvanced data skills such as ETL. šAdvanced database management skills using SQL and/or experience manipulating data using programing language such as Python, and/or experience using large data sets to build data models.
