Job Summary
What You'll Do:
šLead and scale multiple engineering teams across Cloud Infrastructure, Platform, Data Platform, and Internal Tooling, including distributed and international teams. šDefine and own the platform and infrastructure strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across the organization. šServe as a senior technical leader, influencing architecture and systems design for large-scale, mission-critical distributed systems. šPartner with Product, Security, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align platform investments with company goals and customer needs. šDrive execution excellence by evolving processes, setting clear priorities, and ensuring predictable delivery as the organization scales. šStay ahead of emerging technologies and ecosystem trends (Web3, cloud infrastructure, AI) and translate them into actionable technical strategy. šBuild, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering leaders and ICs; provide coaching that raises the technical bar across teams. šOwn hiring strategy and workforce planning for the org, recruiting top-tier talent and developing future leaders. šShape and strengthen Alchemyās engineering culture through standards, mentorship, and programs that promote continuous learning and innovation.
What We're Looking For:
šBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. š10+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in distributed systems. š5+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing managers and leading orgs responsible for critical production infrastructure at high-growth startup. šStrong hands-on understanding of large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure šExperience with Java, K8s, AWS, multi-region, multi-cloud is strongly preferred. šExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. šExceptional judgment and decision-making skills, especially when balancing speed, quality, and long-term technical health.
