Your Core Responsibilities:

📍Oversee the lifecycle of physical servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure components 📍Perform installation, configuration, and upkeep of server and network components in our data centers 📍Plan and implement efficient rack layouts, cabling schemes, and patching schedules to optimize data center operations 📍Diagnose hardware issues, coordinate with vendors for repairs or replacements (RMA process), and ensure timely resolution 📍Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain accurate hardware inventory, and manage stock levels of IT components 📍Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of physical infrastructure, cabling layouts, rack configurations, and associated processes 📍Build and maintain strong working relationships with hardware vendors, colocation partners, and remote hands teams to ensure efficient operations 📍Maintain office IT infrastructure, including hardware and network systems

Your Skills and Experience:

📍5+ years of hands-on experience in data center engineering 📍Strong understanding of server hardware, network devices, and data storage systems 📍Knowledge of network cabling, fiber optics, and optical transceivers 📍Experience with fiber optic testing and cleaning is required 📍Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking protocols 📍CCNA certification is a plus 📍Proven experience in racking, cabling, and working with data center facilities management tools (power, cooling, etc.) 📍Familiarity with basic scripting in Bash and Python within a Linux environment is a plus 📍Strong ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements
