Job Summary
Core Responsibilities:
📍Act as the primary US Treasuries Options vol trader during European market hours, driving strategies forward to success 📍Maximize revenue through identifying and capitalizing on mispricing and dislocations and through managing larger positions 📍Conduct analysis by leveraging IMC’s state-of-the-art analysis capabilities; collaborate closely with traders, quant researchers and developers based in Chicago and London to establish best practices and drive larger scale improvements in our trading strategies and set-up 📍Play an active role as part of the ongoing buildout of IMC’s trading capabilities in Fixed Income-related products (options, futures, cash bonds, ETFs) across US & European offices 📍Moderate amount of travel (a few weeks a year) expected to Chicago to work with colleagues based there
Required Skills & Experience:
đź“Ť2+ years of experience in Fixed Income volatility trading; prior exposure to CME-listed Treasuries Options preferred đź“ŤEntrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, strong self-reflection and communication skills, and ability to make decisions amidst uncertainty đź“ŤAbility to identify patterns and conduct analysis; Python experience is a plus đź“ŤPassion for understanding volatility dynamics and willingness to quickly act on opinions to capture market opportunities đź“ŤStrong understanding of the fundamental drivers of the products traded; ability to work effectively with other macro traders and analysts to make decisions
