Job Summary
What You’ll Do
đź“ŤTechnical Leadership: Collaborate closely with technical leads to define system architecture, improve technical decision-making, and establish engineering best practices. A strong technical background is required to provide guidance and evaluate technical decisions. đź“ŤOperational Efficiency: Improve processes to ensure effective collaboration across teams. Drive project execution, improve team communication, and reduce bottlenecks. đź“ŤStakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables. đź“ŤIncident Response and Reliability: Ensure your team builds systems that are highly available and resilient. Help drive incident reviews and ensure lessons are documented and addressed. đź“ŤPeople Management: Lead a team of talented engineers by supporting their growth, helping them solve technical challenges, and ensuring they have the resources to succeed. Foster a culture of ownership, resilience, and authenticity within the team. đź“ŤTeam Growth: Recruit, onboard, and mentor engineers to expand the team. Identify talent gaps and work with leadership to fill those needs.
What You’ll Bring
📍Engineering Background: You have prior experience as a software engineer, ideally in frontend or infrastructure. While you won’t be writing production code in most situations, you’ll be expected to understand technical trade-offs, assess technical difficulty to coordinate effectively, and support engineers in making decisions. 📍Proven Leadership Skills: Experience managing engineers in a high-growth or fast-paced environment. Proven ability to empower engineers and foster strong team culture. 📍Organization & Communication: Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively manage multiple stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams. 📍Ownership Mentality: You embrace agency, identify solutions, and push them forward with minimal oversight. 📍DeFi Understanding: Familiarity with decentralized finance, Solana, or AMMs is a bonus but not required. 📍Resilience: You embrace change, adapt to new challenges, and guide your team through uncertainty with confidence.
