Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Staff MacOS Developer, Networking to join our Endpoint Engineering team. This high-impact role will shape the future of mobile security services, affecting millions of users globally. This is a hybrid role, reporting in the San Jose, CA office 3 days a week. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Development Engineering, you will be responsible for:
📍Writing high-performance MacOS networking code for desktop and mobile platforms using C/C++, along with platform-native languages and APIs 📍Improving code quality and build solid, testable, well-documented modules 📍Making significant contributions to the design and implementation of major development projects, working closely with product managers and other teams to deliver customer-impacting features 📍Collaborating with internal Zscaler teams as the domain expert for the client platform to help resolve customer deployment issues
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
📍Deep systems programming expertise in C++ and kernel-mode development 📍Strong proficiency with networking protocols—TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, QUIC/HTTP/3, and proxying—and a proven ability to debug network-related issues 📍Extensive MacOS experience, with bonus experience across Windows, iOS, and Android 📍Exceptional programming skills: produce high-quality, low-complexity, well-documented code; design for testability; and implement thorough tests (e.g., using dependency injection and appropriate abstractions) 📍Comfortable with multithreaded, asynchronous development; solid understanding of security protocols and standards; and empathetic, proactive, constructive communication (verbal and written)
