Job Summary
What you'll be doing:
šArchitect and build scalable backend services. Our tech stack is Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, Docker šEnsure the quality and performance of applications to specifications šCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features šOptimize build and runtime performance of our services and application šActively participate in team discussions to drive problem-solving šParticipate in all phases of the development life cycle such as developing, code review, testing, and debugging šServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in backend development, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members šOptimize build and runtime performance of our services and applications, demonstrating a deep understanding of system architecture
What we're looking for:
šMinimum 4 years of professional work experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on designing and building scalable, distributed systems šStrong background and expertise in Ruby, demonstrating mastery of language features, performance tuning, and best practices šProven experience in building and maintaining high-availability, low-latency systems, ideally in trading, payments, or real-time data environments šExperience designing systems with fault tolerance, graceful degradation, and disaster recovery considerations šExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders šExperience with REST APIs and WebSocket
