Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
šAdministrative Support:
šPrepare presentations, reports, and documentation related to safety initiatives and HSI programs.
šMaintain confidential records, files, and databases related to safety management.
šHSI Program Administration:
šManage the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSI system) policies and procedures.
šSupport initiatives aimed at improving workplace safety and minimizing environmental impact.
šServe as a liaison between the safety department and other departments to streamline HSI system activities.
Training and Education:
šOrganize, coordinate, and schedule safety training sessions, workshops, and orientations for employees.
šMaintain detailed records of training participation and ensure that certifications and training requirements are up to date.
šDevelop training materials and resources.
Incident Management:
šManage reporting and documentation of workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents.
šConduct preliminary investigations of incidents to gather facts and support root cause analysis.
šImplement corrective actions and track progress toward resolution.
Safety Inspections and Audits:
šParticipate in routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
šIdentify workplace hazards and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
šWork with cross-functional teams to ensure audit findings are addressed in a timely manner.
šRegulatory Compliance:
šStay informed about federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards.
šEnsure that company practices align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
šData Management and Reporting:
šCollect, compile, and analyze safety-related data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
šPrepare detailed reports, dashboards, and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
šManage electronic systems and databases for tracking safety performance metrics.
šCollaboration and Communication:
šAct as a point of contact for employee safety concerns and inquiries.
šFoster open communication about safety across the organization.
šParticipate in safety committee meetings and contribute to safety initiatives.
šAdditional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
šEducation: Bachelorās degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
šExperience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a safety administration or related role.
šKnowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and environmental compliance standards.
šTechnical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and safety management software systems.
šSoft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
šExperience in safety program development and training coordination.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
