Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

šŸ“Administrative Support:
šŸ“Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation related to safety initiatives and HSI programs.
šŸ“Maintain confidential records, files, and databases related to safety management.
šŸ“HSI Program Administration:
šŸ“Manage the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSI system) policies and procedures.
šŸ“Support initiatives aimed at improving workplace safety and minimizing environmental impact.
šŸ“Serve as a liaison between the safety department and other departments to streamline HSI system activities.
Training and Education:
šŸ“Organize, coordinate, and schedule safety training sessions, workshops, and orientations for employees. šŸ“Maintain detailed records of training participation and ensure that certifications and training requirements are up to date. šŸ“Develop training materials and resources.
Incident Management:
šŸ“Manage reporting and documentation of workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents.
šŸ“Conduct preliminary investigations of incidents to gather facts and support root cause analysis.
šŸ“Implement corrective actions and track progress toward resolution.
Safety Inspections and Audits:
šŸ“Participate in routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
šŸ“Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective or preventive measures.
šŸ“Work with cross-functional teams to ensure audit findings are addressed in a timely manner.
šŸ“Regulatory Compliance:
šŸ“Stay informed about federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards.
šŸ“Ensure that company practices align with legal requirements and industry best practices. šŸ“Data Management and Reporting:
šŸ“Collect, compile, and analyze safety-related data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
šŸ“Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
šŸ“Manage electronic systems and databases for tracking safety performance metrics.
šŸ“Collaboration and Communication:
šŸ“Act as a point of contact for employee safety concerns and inquiries.
šŸ“Foster open communication about safety across the organization.
šŸ“Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to safety initiatives.
šŸ“Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

šŸ“Education: Bachelorā€™s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
šŸ“Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a safety administration or related role.
šŸ“Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety practices, and environmental compliance standards.
šŸ“Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and safety management software systems.
šŸ“Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

šŸ“Experience in safety program development and training coordination.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
