Job Summary

What you'll do

šŸ“Safeguarding Framework: Maintain and further develop Bitpanda Safeguarding Framework in alignment with current and forthcoming EU šŸ“Compliance Laws, including the MiCA regulation, MiFID II and E-Money Act. šŸ“Safeguarding Control Plan: Maintain and execute a robust Safeguarding Control Plan. Conduct regular control checks and reconciliation activities to ensure the protection of customer assets, coverage of customer claims and the adherence to policies and procedures. Provide recommendations to enhance compliance and operational efficiency. šŸ“Audit sensitive first line processes with special focus on the protection of customer assets. šŸ“Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated and robust processes in regards to customer assets. šŸ“Reporting and Documentation: Communicate effectively with senior management and auditors by providing regular updates on safeguarding activities and issues. Prepare detailed reports and documentation supporting the assessment and evidence of covering customer claims and the adherence to EU regulations.

Who you are

šŸ“Educational Background: A degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a legal or crypto related background. šŸ“Interest in crypto assets: A demonstrated interest in crypto assets and blockchain technology, with a keen understanding of the sector's challenges and opportunities. Experience in the crypto-sector is a strong asset. šŸ“Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with European financial regulations, particularly in relation to crypto assets, regulatory compliance and the protection of client assets. Prior experience in a regulated crypto related company or in a role focused on regulatory compliance or Anti Financial Crime is highly preferred. šŸ“Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and process mapping abilities, with attention to legal compliance, operational impact, and scalability in dynamic regulatory environments. šŸ“Communication Skills and Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences and work effectively in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work culture.
