Job Summary
Key Responsibiities
šProvide support to the team in managing our regulatory compliance program in Australia, including:
šMonitor and manage compliance with AFSL obligations Advise the business on day-to-day compliance related matters Assist in the review and submission of reconciliations and regulatory reports
šLiaise with compliance officers globally on business activities conducted across different countries
šProvide advice on new products and new business structures
šManage internal compliance operational controls and carry out assessments as required
šMonitor services provider SLAs and provide feedback where neededHandle regulatory inquiries
šHandle bankruptcy requests, deceased estate requests and Centrelink cases
šHandle internal and external escalated disputes including AFCA liaison
šPerform compliance assessments of digital assets
šAssist with third party due diligence processes
šReview marketing materials
šReview and advise on escalated financial crime cases
šDevelop and maintain compliance policies and procedures
šAssist in updating the compliance program and work plan on a regular basis
šUpdate the business on regulatory changes
šSupport reviews, audits and inspections from external parties, including regulators, and ensuring relevant findings are remediated appropriately
šSupport preparation of management and board reporting that includes insights and analysis based on industry-leading knowledge of regulatory compliance topics
šAssist in responses to industry consultations on digital asset regulation
šAssist in handling various compliance projects
šEnsure staff adherence to company policies and procedures
šPromote compliance awareness and provide compliance training where needed
šPerform duties and provide support as 2IC for the Australian compliance team
šCarry out other compliance related duties as instructed by VP Regulatory Compliance from time to time
šStay up-to-date with the current regulatory landscape and compliance requirements of the cryptocurrency industry
Requirements
šA minimum of 10 yearsā experience in financial services compliance Bachelor's degree and RG146 complianceACAMS certification preferred šWorking knowledge of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance and associated reporting šLeadership and management skills including experience managing a team šFamiliarity with ASIC and AUSTRAC requirements a must šFamiliarity with RBA and APRA requirements preferred šKnowledge of the applicable contemporary practices in the field of Compliance, including but not limited to understanding of regulatory matters regarding AFSL and AML legislative and regulatory requirements
