Job Summary
What you’ll do
📍Own and evolve the architecture of highly available, distributed, event-driven backend systems across the Ops Hub. 📍Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, cross-team initiatives in onboarding , compliance and risk infrastructure. 📍Actively write and review production code, setting a high bar for quality, testing, reliability and operational excellence. 📍Drive architectural decision-making through clear technical proposals, ADRs and close collaboration with stakeholders. 📍Mentor and guide senior engineers, acting as a technical reference point and raising the overall engineering standard.
Who you are
📍Deep expertise in backend software engineering with Java and Spring Boot, with a strong track record of delivering business-critical systems at scale (experience with PHP is beneficial but not essential) 📍Extensive experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven microservices architectures (Kafka or similar). 📍Deep understanding of data modelling and persistence using relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Postgres, MongoDB). 📍Comfortable operating autonomously across multiple teams, navigating ambiguity and driving technical clarity. 📍Highly collaborative, able to influence without formal authority and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
