Job Summary
Your mission will be:
šPrepare, administrate and work with the Finance team to distribute salary payments for all Employees in accordance with our payroll calendar. šEnsure our in house payroll procedures and outputs are āaudit readyā as well as updated, maintained and followed. šEnsuring compliance with applicable laws and tax obligations in all regions in which Luno operates. šManage and maintain the payroll systems and governance and ensure salary payments, expenses and taxes are paid correctly and on time.
A little about you:
šA proven track record of managing a highly effective Payroll function and a working knowledge of the statutory requirements affecting salaries in South Africa. šPrevious Payroll exposure within the UK and APAC markets will be advantageous. š5 + years specialised payroll experience š2 + years of Payspace experience šA tertiary qualification in Finance/Accountancy/Payroll will be an advantage šSolid financial acumen and knowledge of payroll/ accounting software. šAbility to interpret and to reconcile complex financial data from a variety of sources using tools such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. šExperience of working to defined service levels, targets and key performance indicators. šDemonstrable knowledge of current legislation with regards to pay conditions and the tax treatment of fringe benefits. šDemonstrable knowledge of working with 3rd party benefit providers. šAbility to prioritise workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results and deliverables within fixed timescales. šHighly numerate with excellent analytical skills. šExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex payroll matters to
