Job Summary
Your Responsibilities
📍Draft, review, and manage routine legal agreements, including NDAs, consultancy agreements, grant agreements, and employment/contractor amendments. 📍Assist with board and shareholder matters, including preparing board packs, drafting resolutions, maintaining statutory registers, and coordinating filings with Companies House and other registries. 📍Track and summarise global legal and regulatory developments in crypto, fintech, and privacy (e.g., MiCA, FINMA, FCA, SEC). 📍Conduct horizon scanning on enforcement actions, policy consultations, and industry trends to flag potential risks and opportunities. 📍Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics, including securities law, intellectual property, data privacy, and more. 📍Contribute to process improvements, including playbooks, trackers, and knowledge management for the Legal team. 📍Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and act as a point of contact for other teams, external vendors, and counsel. 📍Provide general legal support as needed, including assisting with corporate governance matters, intellectual property filings, and other ad-hoc legal tasks.
Must-haves:
📍Law degree (LLB) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL/CPE). 📍3 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (ideally in a law firm, financial services, or fintech). 📍Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing legal agreements. 📍Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. 📍Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and attention to detail.
