Job Summary
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
šPerforming hands-on configurations of routers, switches, and firewalls. šDeveloping network architectural standards, admin-level documentation, and design requirements focused on high availability and uptime. šSupporting the ongoing development and maturation of IT enterprise network management processes and strategies in alignment with the organization's strategic vision. šProviding recommendations, proposals, and/or business cases to management justifying network investments. šLeading the planning, execution, and project management role of medium to large-sized networking projects. šParticipating, recommending, and leading all phases of network architectural activities, including concept definition, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, installation, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning. šContinually identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology impacts on the organization and conducting effective process improvement initiatives to increase end-user satisfaction and minimize downtime. šIntegrating quality assurance management into organizational life cycle processes. šEstablishing metrics to evaluate and measure the impacts and effectiveness of network services provided to the organization. šNetworking and designing for LANs, WANs, and wireless networks. šNetworking Security design, segmentation, and ACLĆ¢ĀĀs šWorking knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols Ć¢ĀĀ OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IGRP/EIGRP, etc. šMonitoring network tools and incident response.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
šThis position requires 5+ years of learned and applied experience with network operating systems, network hardware - routers, switches, & firewalls, detailed network design and documentation, implementation, operation, and support of enterprise IT technologies including Microsoft, Linux, data storage, networking, and security. You possess professional certification(s) to include CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, and/or other network certifications & designations. This position requires you to have a strong understanding of practices relating to IT standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and NIST 800-53.
