Job Summary
Your Core Responsibilities
📍Own IMC APAC’s day-to-day market data management functions, including but not limited to, inventory updates, invoice reconciliation, exchange policy monitoring and reporting 📍Work with internal stakeholders and global market data team to collate ongoing data needs and identify access/entitlement requirements 📍In collaboration with global market data team, lead contract negotiations with new data providers and ongoing relationship management of existing providers 📍Identifying savings and optimization opportunities 📍Working closely with Legal, ensure that IMC APAC’s market data contractual usage restrictions are accurately reflected in global market data inventory 📍Ongoing monitoring of internal usage and evolving data requirements, to mitigate potential exposure and identify savings opportunities 📍Proactively educate various teams within IMC APAC (trading / tech / support) around proper use of data and how utilization will impact compliance and commercial structure
Your Skills and Experience:
đź“Ť4+ years of experience managing market data at a buy- or sell-side firm or a market data vendor đź“ŤIn-depth knowledge of market data vendor landscape and use case requirements/scoping, including but not limited to, delivery mechanisms, native versus normalized feed, non-display versus display data use cases, derived data rights, and data integrity đź“ŤUnderstanding of contractual obligations related to exchange data including policy monitoring, reporting obligations, fee structures, and unit of count đź“ŤExperience reviewing contractual agreements and negotiating commercial terms đź“ŤHighly organized self-starter đź“ŤStrong analytical capabilities; ability to synthesize and distil large quantities of data to extract spending trends and insights đź“ŤFamiliarity with market data management systems/inventory tools (desired)
