📍Seller Merchandising, nested within our Seller Engineering org, exists to build the world’s most connected marketplace for enthusiasts. The team focuses on essential components that enhance Whatnot’s customer experience. They are committed to crafting a fun and engaging journey for buyers and sellers by providing the necessary tools for frictionless shopping on Whatnot—features like Checkout, Listing Page, Seller Shop, Buy It Now, and Flash Sales. Looking ahead, the team is poised to innovate and expand, ensuring an ever-evolving and dynamic marketplace for all users.

We’ve found that embodying a low ego, growth mindset, and high-impact drive goes a long way here. 📍As our next Fullstack Engineer on Seller Merchandising, you should have 5+ years of generalist software development experience in high growth startups, plus: 📍Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience 📍Knowledge of multiple programming languages (we primarily use Python, Elixir, JavaScript—knowledge of these in particular not required) 📍Web development experience with React, using GraphQL for API development, and modern frontend applications (exposure to Next.js framework is not required but preferred)
