Job Summary
The opportunity
šDesign and implement scalable backend services that integrate with banking APIs, payment processors, blockchain networks, and internal financial systems šBuild and maintain intuitive frontend interfaces using React and React Native for both internal tools and customer-facing experiences related to financial operations. šDevelop reusable libraries, APIs, and tooling that streamline interactions between systems, platforms, and stakeholders. šOwn and evolve critical components of Krakenās financial infrastructure šBuild robust workflows to ensure auditability, compliance, and financial accuracy across all integrated platforms. šCollaborate closely with stakeholders across Finance, Product, Compliance, and Engineering to understand requirements and deliver full-stack solutions. šMonitor production systems for reliability and performance, proactively addressing any issues across the stack. šMaintain strong unit and integration test coverage and deliver comprehensive documentation to support long-term maintainability and scalability.
Skills you should HODL
š3+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend systems and exposure to frontend development. šProven ability to write clean, production-grade TypeScript/Node.js services and React/React Native applications. šExperience working with financial platforms, banking integrations, or other regulated systems at scale. šSolid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, RPC protocols, and streaming data pipelines (e.g. Kafka). šSecurity-first mindset when designing and deploying systems that handle sensitive financial data.
