Job Summary
What You Will Do
šPartner with and advise senior leaders across the organization on company strategy, growth, and revenue opportunities šOversee all internal financial operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance šIndependently build and maintain operating model incorporating strategic plans for the organization šManage general company operations, including, but not limited to, workplace operations, administrative tasks, and non-technical IT stack šInterface with external vendors and assist with vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations šLead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling accounts and partnering with external accountants to ensure accuracy šAnalyze financial results and track performance vs. budget to provide insights and recommendations to management šManage cash flow and optimize working capital by managing purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll šPartner with legal and engineering to ensure all operational processes and procedures meet a high standard of excellence šIdentify and develop operational systems, process optimization initiatives, controls, and procedures for improvement
Who You Are
š8+ years of experience in financial management and operations with significant time spent at high-growth tech companies and/or startups šExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy šPrevious experience building an operational budget and reporting on performance vs. budget šDemonstrated success in managing the operations of an organization with ability to flex high to low on various tasks as needed šEffective communicator and strong writer: ability to distill key takeaways into concise messaging šProven experience in managing financial audits, preparing tax filings, and overseeing budget development šCross-functional partner who is comfortable interfacing with Legal, People, Workplace Operations, and Recruiting, among other functions šBachelorās or Masterās degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field a plus šHighly proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets; comfort with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) šExperience with treasury management strategies a plus
